Introduction
In 2009, under the Ministry of Education of regional industry-academia cooperative development project to award for the University to set the Industry-Academia center .Shu-Te University (STU) established Headquarters for Industry-Academia Collaboration (HIAC)
HIAC provide one-stop service including R&D, industry-academia policy enforcement, and logistics management.
The missions of HIAC are strengthening the quality of academic research, encouraging teachers to carry out industry-academia cooperation projects, integrating the related resources, and building a superior environment for academic and applied research.
Hence, HIAC fulfills “Create advantage by converging professional expertise, vitalize local economics, promote the competency of industry, develop unique R&D capability, Connect to local industry” as the vision of HIAC.

Developments
On campus, Headquarters for Industry Academia Collaboration (HIAC) works with “Innovation and Incubation Center” and 10 other units to improve their research and development services in order to strengthen Industry Academia interaction among them.
HIAC helps that faculty transfer the research results into intellectual properties and apply the industry-academia experiences to teaching in classroom, finally, improving occupational abilities of students.
HIAC follows “Humanism, Sustainable Development, Environmental Experience, Crossover Collaboration, Integration core value”, and intend to establish the platform for integration of Industry and Academia
